SENS LEAF community home energy project
SENS won funding from the Department for Energy and Climate Change for a project running Jan-March 2012.

Past events and activities

Burning Wood Well Workshop All welcome. Tuesday 21st February, 7.30pm at the Institute Room in Staveley Village Hall. A workshop presented by local charity Cumbria Woodlands looking at processing and storing firewood, burning wood well and the Renewable Heat Incentive. Hosted by SENS (this workshop will take place instead of a general meeting but there wll be time for notices at the end). Download a poster here

Photovoltaics to generate electricity from the sun - Mon 19th Sept 2011. Ever wondered what the costs and benefits really are of installing solar panels on your roof? This evening will cut through the hype and visit a couple of houses in the village that have recently installed solar panels. The owners will be on hand to explain how much it all cost, how much they are saving on bills and earning through selling their electricity and maybe help you to decide whether it might be worth it for you.
